Annapurna Circuit, 2013 This was our first trip to Nepal and being an older person (67 years young!!!) we (my friend and I) carefully research the different trekking companies for an affordable private trek. We chose Explorer Adventure for their ability to provide a total package to visit the different sites around Kathmandu and arrange the Annapurna Circuit trek. We had a fantastic tour of the city: the historic Durbar square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (BouddhaNath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world. Our guide, Mr Bam Magar, was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned a lot about the customs of the different ethnic groups living in Nepal. During the trek, Bam took the time to explained the different customs in each areas, named the different peaks around us and always kept us informed of what we could expect the next day. Bam and our porter gave us the opportunity to experience the friendliness of the local people in smaller more isolated villages. The level of detail, services offered, quality of the guide and porter provided, allowed us to focus on the enjoyment of the trek without any of the normal logistical planning required for a trip of this magnitude. We enjoyed the choice of Tea Houses selected, the food was fantastic and we always had warm and friendly service. Obviously, our guide and porter were very familiar with the area and are well known in the different villages and Tea Houses. After this great experience, we are pleased to recommend the Annapurna circuit trek and specially the friendly team at Explorer Adventure to anyone wanting to discover the wonderful Himalaya's and it's friendly people.
