If you are looking for an introduction to trekking in the Himalayas then this trek may be the start of a wonderful experience. The landscape of the Annapurna region is wonderfully lush & extremely scenic; the fooy and thed is really good and varied (especially Nepalese dumplings -'Momos'); the people of this area are very hospitable and friendl area is extremely popular with trekkers! The Trek is not too difficult but you will need a lot of stamina for the uphill & downhill sections of which there are quite a few! But you will definitely be fit by the end of the trek! Bam Magar was our Trek Guide for the Annapurna Sanctuary (ABC) Trek (the previous year and our first year of trekking (2013) he was also our trek guide to Everest Base camp). He arranged everything; internal flights, transfers, meals and hotels etc. You are definitely in a "safe pair of hands" when you trek with Bam! He has an incredible amount of experience of the Himalayas and trekking in those areas as he comes from the Everest region! He can tailor the trek to your requirements as necessitates. Most of all you will make a great friend as well as having a really brilliant trekking experience! I am looking forward to my next Himalayan adventure with Bam! (& with all my sisters!)
