Where trekkers can enjoy and experience the wonderful high country of Nepal North Mid-West around the massif Annapurna Himalayan range. The first part of the adventure takes you to high green hills covered in beautiful forests of rhododendron and pines. Enjoying the pleasant walk uphill to the scenic village of Ghorepani, located at the base of the famous and popular Poon Hill.

An exciting high village amid lovely serene woodland, and then an early morning climb. Reaches you to the top of Poon Hill for stunning sunrise reflecting on the towering Himalayan chain of peaks. The views from Poon Hill covers three world's highest mountain range of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu Himalayas.

After a wonderful moment on the high scenic top of Poon Hill, the next adventure leads towards Annapurna Sanctuary. Where picturesque Annapurna Base Camp is located, enclosed by a series of giant snow-capped peaks. An amazing place to enjoy, as the walk follows the Modi River upstream to its glacial source at Annapurna Base Camp.

Mt. Annapurna-I is the main and highest peak of the Annapurna Himalayan range, as well world’s 10th tallest peak. The first 8,000 meters mountain summit ever climbed in the history of Mountaineering by French Expedition on June 3rd, 1950.

This makes the trek to Annapurna base camp quite special and exclusive, the whole area is named Sanctuary. Due to its unique position on a high plateau, bounded by amphitheaters of towering peaks that makes the Annapurna massif.

Enjoying a marvelous time and experience, the walk heads downhill back into green vegetation after being in the arctic-like barren landscapes. Slowly adventure completes on reaching Chomrong and Jhinu hill villages, where one can enjoy a refreshing dip in a natural hot spring. On leaving the hill village an exciting drive brings you to the scenic and beautiful city in Pokhara. Itinerary

On first arrival at Kathmandu and Nepal International Airport received by our guide and staff with traditional greetings. Taking care of your baggage, and then a short drive to the hotel, located in the heart of a city near the exciting areas at Thamel. Check into your lovely rooms, after getting refreshed from the Jet-Lag, join in with other members for group briefing. Provided by your guide or Group Leader, offering information regarding the trek, hotels, local lodge.

 

 

 

    Morning after breakfast, one can join for an exciting tour of old Durbar Square / Palace Courtyard. Other interesting places listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Enjoy the day with individual activities and trek preparation.

      Morning having breakfast transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for short scenic flight to Pokhara. During air enjoy views of snow peaks as it lands at beautiful Pokhara by the serene Phewa lake side. Where most good hotels, shops and restaurants are located.

      From the airport meeting your guide and trekking staff for exciting drive to starting point of trek. On reaching Nayapul town or Bhirethati village, the drive leads further to nice village at Hille. Where our trek begins, the trail follows uphill facing beautiful waterfalls. The climb starts from the bridge a steep uphill on well paved stone steps leading on top Ulleri village for overnight stop.

        Enjoy the morning views of Annapurna peaks, after refreshing overnight stop in Ulleri village nice lodge. Morning walk on gradual winding trail through cool forest path, and then ending the trek for the day at Ghorepani village.

        Ghorepani located beneath scenic Poon Hill amidst rhododendron forest surroundings facing views of Dhaulagiri Himalayas.

        Where all lodges are painted blue in contrast to green forest and white snow-capped peaks. Ghorepani village mostly populated by Poon / Magar people the hill tribes of Western Nepal. Check in to a nice homely lodge facing views of snow peaks.

          An early morning hike of an hour on top Poon Hill the highest point of the trek, offers grandeur sunrise views over360° panorama of Himalayan Mountain range.
          Includes three world highest peaks of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapurna range with array of lesser peaks.

          After a refreshing morning walk, down to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue trek uphill into beautiful rhododendron forest to Deurali top.
          Enjoy the glorious views of snow mountain range, and downhill to Bhanthati village for lunch. Afternoon walk down to a stream and then climb to Tadapani for overnight halt, a small place with numbed of good simple lodges.

            Catch the morning views of Annapurna Himalayan peaks, having breakfast another long day walk of about six hours to Chomrong village.
            As our route diverts from the main trail for some hours, heading to a long descent into cool forested trail to Kimrong River.

            After the bridge climb to a small village above a Kimrong valley, as walk gets better on gradual winding path. Then a short downhill to Chomrong village for overnight halt.

            One of the largest village around southern hills of Annapurna range, here in time for lunch and overnight stop. Afternoon at leisure to explore the Gurung typical mountain village. A lovely settlement of Gurung people the main tribes of Southern of Annapurna region interwoven to Buddhism religion and culture.

              Morning walk leads down for a short while, on crossing the Chomrong stream, with steep climb on stone steps. As walk reaches at Sinuwa Danda, a small place on a ridge top with few lodges and shops. After a refreshing break walk on winding forested path with short downhill to a nice clearing at Bamboo.

              A settlement with number of lodges close by the Modi River amidst forest of rhododendron, pines and bamboo. Possible lunch stop in one of its best lodge restaurants, afternoon few hour walk uphill into a dense forest.
              After a good climb then reaching at Dovan, a small settlement with few simple guest house and lodge. Situated on a gorge of a Modi River, enjoy the overnight halt with the sound of a raging river flow. 

                From Dovan, morning walk leads a steep climb close to a waterfall as route leads above Modi River. Walk leads close to a large overhanging cave known as Hinko Cave close to a small settlement of Himalaya Hotel.

                Having a short rest, continue walk over a rock fall of old avalanche area of Hiuchuli peak. As trail leads to short climb reaching a flat area at Deurali, a nice place with number of good lodges. Stopping here for lunch, from here onward tall tree lines fades for short alpine bushes and shrubs.

                A steep climb for few hour to Machhapuchare Base Camp, in short MBC, located at the bottom of Machhapuchare Himal. Popularly called as the Fish-Tail, the virgin and unclimbed peak, the area with few nice lodges for overnight halt.

                  Morning faces the grand views of Annapurna-I with Annapurna South with Huin-Chuli peaks. Having breakfast, a short day walk of few hours to the main highlight of the adventure to Annapurna Base Camp.

                  As walk heads to a short climb on a grassy slope then reaching a flat plateau with Sanctuary. A slow gradual walk to Annapurna base camp, situated beneath towering mountain wall of Annapurna-I and Gangapurna Himal.

                  A picturesque and highest spot of the adventure, enjoy the comfort of a nice lodge. Every room faces grand views of surrounding snow peaks, having lunch, afternoon at leisure to marvel the glorious mountain panorama.  

                    After an enjoyable time of a life time experience standing in the heart of massive
                    Annapurna Himalaya range of peaks. Return journey back to Bamboo with long descend encountering few short ups and gradual winding path.

                    A nice place for overnight at Bamboo, after a long day walk from Annapurna Base Camp and the sanctuary.

                      Enjoying a pleasant overnight with the sound of a river, morning walk short climb towards dense tree lines. As walk follows on winding pleasant path to Sinuwa Danda, and then down to Chomrong River. On crossing a bridge with last steep climb to Chomrong village for lunch stop facing excellent views of snow peaks.

                      After lunch a short climb and then down to Jhinu village, situated on a high ridge with several nice good lodges for last overnight halt. At Jhinu enjoy a refreshing warm dip and a bathe in its natural hot-spring close to the village.

                        From Jhinu village down to another Nayapul / New bridge, cross over Modi River, a nice gentle walk with short steep up to Landruk village. Another large settlement of Gurung people, from here on winding gradual path and then short climb to Deurali. Enjoy the glorious panorama of high rolling hills with Dhaulagiri and Annapurna peaks. A slow easy downhill through lovely forest to Potana for overnight stop. A great place for stunning views of Annapurna and Machhapuchare Himal, Fish Tail in the comfort of a nice lodge.

                          Enjoy the breakfast on the high hills of Annapurna Himalayas, and then a short walk up to Australian Camp. A lovely scenic spot for panoramic views of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalaya range. From Australian Camp walk down to the

                          Road-head at Kande village. The end of the walk, and then taking an hour drive to Pokhara, heading past villages and towns. As drive reaches Pokhara valley and the city area, and then transfer to your hotel. After lunch rest of the afternoon at leisure for individual activities.

                            Depart from the hotel at Pokhara, for interesting overland journey back to Kathmandu on the scenic highway. On reaching the hotel at Kathmandu by late afternoon, rest of day free for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

                            (Option for short flight of half hour to Kathmandu from Pokhara)

                              Your last day in Kathmandu and Nepal, as per your international flight time our staff transfer you to the airport. Then bid farewell to guide and staff as you enter the airport terminal for homeward bound flight, after an amazing great adventure to Poon Hill & Mt.                                 Insurance policy for Medical and Travel:

                                Should cover medical insurance for illness and emergency evacuation by Helicopter or other means of transportations including other expenses on treatment at respective countries hospitals, as for travel insurance against bad unfavorable weather conditions, delay or cancellation of domestic flights on mountainous area where flight involves on the start of trek and at the end.

                                Travel and Medical Insurance also needs to cover when clients break the journey in the middle of the trip, due to sickness-personal domestic problem etc………

                                 Guide and Porters: 

                                On treks or climb where you will be accompanied by our expert guide who knows the area on route of the trek chosen, we have professional and veteran guides to led the trek where you can feel comfortable, as our guide are knowledgeable offers you various information of the country from history-geography, culture to flora and fauna.

                                All guides have gone through basic medical training that includes high altitude symptoms or AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) can help you with simple medical First Aid and for severe condition will support taking you to safe area or to nearest hospitals by any means of quick transportation.

                                Our guides are well versed in Eco-Trekking and Responsible Tourism as well and are committed in keeping the environment on trekking route in pristine form as it was.

                                Porters are picked can be regular porter of the company of hired in Kathmandu-Pokhara or in Lukla on start of the trekking, with always a strong and cheerful porters to carry your heavier luggage, baggage of 15 to 25 kg maximum weights to carry by each porters, we do not allow underage porters of below 16 years of age or above 50 years.

                                Porters and guide are well looked after by the company with good wages, medical insurance, travel allowance including meals on treks and climb company also provides warm gear in winter as well for high and cold altitude trips.

                                  Altitude Sickness or AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness):
                                  Information of AMS and Precaution Measures:

                                High Altitude or Acute Mountain Sickness for short as AMS a symptom faced and can catch any people on high altitude adventure walks.

                                Due to high pressure and low oxygen level as certain height where some people feel uneasiness with shortness of breathiness, light headache, nausea, dizziness, lack of good sleep and with less appetite.

                                To avoid these whole symptoms where we always designed itinerary days accordingly with enough space, flexible days for acclimatization at high elevation, taking short walks up and sleeping and resting at low places.

                                The other good way to avoid AMS taking slow and steady pace on walks, stopping frequently to catch your breath and adding lot of fluid or safe drinking water at least 2-3 liters a day to support against AMS.

                                On high altitude take enough rest and with short slow hike above high hills to catch views as well to support acclimatization and sleeping and resting at low altitude will certainly helps you in avoiding AMS.

                                Useful in situations when you cannot make high ascent, the best ways to prevent altitude sickness doing it slowly, stopping for overnights at certain altitude to adjust to the new height, and taking it easy for first one or two 2 days.

                                In our list we always mention general medication to bring from home as well from your doctor advice also, your doctor might recommend you some basic medication list like medicine against diarrhea, headache, fever, cold-flu as well constipation including first aid for cuts-wounds and burns as well.

                                • trekking boots (should be warm, waterproof, breathable, cover and fix the ankle)
                                • Sports sandals with a closed toe or sneakers.
                                • flip flops , Sun cap , Wool or fleece hat , 2 pairs of gloves/mittens (1 thin, 1 thick,}
                                • Bandana or neckerchief ,  Fleece jackets (1 thin, 1 thick) .
                                • Thermal underwear (merino wool!), preferably 2 sets (one for walking, the other for sleeping), buy at home.
                                • Trekking socks - several pairs (there is a limited possibility of washing)
                                • Quick-drying sports T-shirts (e.g. Polartec PowerDry) - 2 pcs. or more.
                                • Down jacket , Windstopper , Windproof warm jacket with hood.
                                • Trekking trousers ,  Warm synthetic pants like ski pants , Rain poncho.
                                • Sun Screen Cream , Sunglasses ,  Trekking pole , Water bottle.

                                   Equipment

                                 *Duffel bags for trek will be perovided on Day 2 should be returned after the trek is over.

                                *Sleeping bag (comfort temperature around -5 C). On the upper lodges they usually provide woolen blankets. You can rent a sleeping bag in       Kathmandu, $1-2 per day.

                                *A good quality headlight with new batteries and a spare set of batteries.

                                 *Sunglasses (category 3-4) + hard case , Trekking poles , Thermos 0.5-1 liter.

                                *Sealed packaging for documents and money , Sitting mat (optionally), Power bank.

                                * A roll of dense garbage bags 50 liters. You will pack your items in it when you put them in a duffel bag to protect them from moisture and dust.

                                • Depending upon start of the trek, either drive straight to Ulleri, or enjoy some exercise with a steep climb on stone steps to Ulleri village. Rest of the walk on gradual uphill path, with an hour climb to Poon Hill. As for Annapurna Base Camp it uphill walk with some gradual section, but more or less an enjoyable trek along with grand views. The return journey reaching Chomrong and Jhinu villages with more downhill with few short ups. But an enjoyable walks with superb views of Annapurna peaks all the way to Pokhara.

                                • All age-group as well as family with young children can enjoy this short moderate adventure to Annapurna Base Camp & Poon Hill. Including elderly people of more than 70 years can also enjoy the walk taking a slow pace, and having enough rest in between the treks. The views and beautiful surrounding of lovely forest of
