After fabulous moments where next adventure leads towards high country around scenic hills and ridges facing marvelous panorama of peaks as far towards Annapurna-Manaslu and Ganesh Himal in the west, with Langtang and Jugal Himal towards north-east.
Slowly tree lines fades for short alpine bushes of rhododendron and juniper as walk takes you to high ridge of Laurabinayak to reach at beautiful spot around Gosainkund and its crystal clear glacial pond.
The pond regarded as one of the holiest spot where once a year in the month of August as per Hindu calendar great festival held known as Janai Purnima during Full Moon.
Where thousands of Hindu worshippers and pilgrims visit for a holy dip in the icy pond belief is that purifies the sin of a hundred lifetimes, the shrine and the pond dedicated to Lord Shiva (one of three famous God after Vishnu and Brahma).
From here either walk down to Dhunche town for drive back to Kathmandu or continue walk that leads to high pass of Gosainkund and East Laurabinaya-la at 4,610 m / 15,124 ft high.
After crossing high and scenic pass heading close to Helambu area at Kutumsang village and then on the road to Kathmandu walking on high ridges with marvelous mountain views to reach at scenic point at Chisapani, rewards you with striking sunrise over Himalayan Mountain chain.

Best Season forLangtang Valley and Gosainkund Trekking:
Nearly all months of the year except the monsoon wet times from mid June to mid September, March to May is the best months when most of the days are clear for mountain views with pleasant scenic walks.
Around March to May can be cold in the morning and night time with chances of snow sometimes during the walk around higher areas.
Another good time for walks with excellent views will be from mid September till mid December months when most of the days are crystal clear with blue sky and grand views of mountains could be much colder with freezing temperatures during night and morning time as well in shade away from sunlight.
Extra cold will be when you will be exposed to strong wind chill where trekkers requires adequate gear to withstand the freezing cold and might get snowed during autumn / fall and winter times.
March to May when wild flowers are in season with different species of rhododendron flowers from tall trees to bush with many other flowers during spring time, where the hills and valley will be lively during flowering times.
If you are extending walks from Gosainkund towards east for longer days the best time would be from March to May and September to November months.
Culture and People:
Langtang and Gosainkund area where the local native populated by Tamang a hill tribe of Central Himalaya interwoven with Bon (pre Buddhism) and Buddhism religions with similar culture across the border of Tibet, where Tamang originally migrated from inner Mongolia and Tibet way back thousands of years ago.
