If you are looking for an introduction to trekking in the Himalayas then this trek may be the start of a wonderful experience. The landscape of the Annapurna region is wonderfully lush & extremely scenic; the fooy and thed is really good and varied (especially Nepalese dumplings -'Momos'); the people of this area are very hospitable and friendl area is extremely popular with trekkers! The Trek is not too difficult but you will need a lot of stamina for the uphill & downhill sections of which there are quite a few! But you will definitely be fit by the end of the trek! Bam Magar was our Trek Guide for the Annapurna Sanctuary (ABC) Trek (the previous year and our first year of trekking (2013) he was also our trek guide to Everest Base camp). He arranged everything; internal flights, transfers, meals and hotels etc. You are definitely in a "safe pair of hands" when you trek with Bam! He has an incredible amount of experience of the Himalayas and trekking in those areas as he comes from the Everest region! He can tailor the trek to your requirements as necessitates. Most of all you will make a great friend as well as having a really brilliant trekking experience! I am looking forward to my next Himalayan adventure with Bam! (& with all my sisters!)

We would highly recommend booking any trekking holidays with Bam Magar as your guide. Bam met us in Kathmandu at our hotel as soon as we arrived and from there we put ourselves in his very capable hands. Bam arranged everything for the trek all our accommodation and a great porter who carried my ruck sack all the way. Bams knowledge was endless and everywhere we stayed was excellent. The trek was amazing the places we saw and the views were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. we didn't just find a great guide in Nepal we made a new friend. We loved our time in Nepal and if were ever lucky enough to go again Bam will be our first call,

It was my first trip to Nepal and first trekking trip in November 2016. I had been down with fever and illness just before the trekking but under the expert guidance and advice of Bam had a great experience and time in the beautiful Langtang valley region. Bam and his team of porters are extremely helpful, super observant all the time and never fail to make the trekking experience a great one! I cannot recommend him enough. All thanks to Bam and his highly capable team for a wonderful and memorable experience!

Bam is a great guide to take up the Dud Khosi trekking path. Knowledgeable with excellent English and nice personality. He also has plenty of experience and kilometers under his belt to ensure a safe and memorable trip.

This is my second time to this beautiful country of Nepal, first in my twenties doing the Annapurna Circuit unguided and just recently in my fifties with Explorer Adventure. Bam is such an excellent guide - kind, caring, knowledgeable and trustworthy. You will find no better guide and I can highly recommend him and his company. Expertly led, thoroughly organised from the moment we stepped off the plane in Kathmandu. Bam has the patience of a saint and nothing is too much trouble. I have been on three trekking trips with Bam and he is an excellent guide and friend. He provided sound advice and showed a good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each member in the group. He is extremely resourceful and helps to overcome difficulties with cheerfulness and equanimity, a very important quality when one is on the mountains! The three trips- Annapurna Base Camp, Upper Mustang and Gokyo Lakes- were memorable and I could not recommend Bam highly enough. It makes a huge difference to know that one's trek will be in good hands and it has allowed me to enjoy the fantastic scenery and experience.

Bill and I have trekked 4 times with Bam and always had a wonderful experience. He has taken us round the Annapurna Circuit, into Anapurna Sanctuary, Langtang and Everest Base Camp. Bam is very experienced and has coped with challenging conditions which have sometimes proved to be too much for other leaders. He is fun and totaly professional. Your trip will be tailored to your requirements and he will do his best to ensure you enjoy trekking and culture in Nepal.

Annapurna Circuit, 2013 This was our first trip to Nepal and being an older person (67 years young!!!) we (my friend and I) carefully research the different trekking companies for an affordable private trek. We chose Explorer Adventure for their ability to provide a total package to visit the different sites around Kathmandu and arrange the Annapurna Circuit trek. We had a fantastic tour of the city: the historic Durbar square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (BouddhaNath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world. Our guide, Mr Bam Magar, was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned a lot about the customs of the different ethnic groups living in Nepal. During the trek, Bam took the time to explained the different customs in each areas, named the different peaks around us and always kept us informed of what we could expect the next day. Bam and our porter gave us the opportunity to experience the friendliness of the local people in smaller more isolated villages. The level of detail, services offered, quality of the guide and porter provided, allowed us to focus on the enjoyment of the trek without any of the normal logistical planning required for a trip of this magnitude. We enjoyed the choice of Tea Houses selected, the food was fantastic and we always had warm and friendly service. Obviously, our guide and porter were very familiar with the area and are well known in the different villages and Tea Houses. After this great experience, we are pleased to recommend the Annapurna circuit trek and specially the friendly team at Explorer Adventure to anyone wanting to discover the wonderful Himalaya's and it's friendly people.
